MiC Lowry x TikTok for Eurovision Song Contest 2023

Our favourite Liverpudlian based boy band MiC Lowry (Delleile Ankrah, Kaine Ofoeme, Ben Sharples and Michael Welch) headed the busking stage for the TikTok’s Eurovision 2023 marketing campaign.

MiC Lowry are a vocal harmony group who formed in 2011. The group have supported huge artists such as Justin Bieber on his European Purpose Tour, as well as, releasing their debut EP ‘The Show’ in 2015. Previously signed with the Universal Music Group, they are now an independent band and recently released their new song CREEPIN in November, with new music set to be released this summer.

For the second year running, TikTok was selected to be the Official Entertainment Partner for the Eurovision Song Contest. The TikTok community joins in on this legendary celebration of music and culture every year, inspiring Eurovision trends that spread throughout the world and are influenced by the artists and songs they enjoy. 2023 is expected to be the biggest #Eurovision yet, with over 7.8B video views already. The City of Liverpool will host Eurovision this year on behalf of Ukraine, who won the Contest in 2022 with the help of the Kalush Orchestra. Throughout the entire Eurovision Song Contest, Ukraine will be honoured and represented.

Headed to Liverpool, TikTok supported key busking sites around the city such as Holy Corner, Liverpool One, Sugar House Steps and at Liverpool Lime street. They had local artists performing for fans from all over the world and some special guests! With just a mini TikTok x Eurovision stage and a pianist the boys hit the city with a bang and sang their best covers and originals to crowds of people, listening, supporting and dancing.

The boys absolutely loved performing in their hometown, performing some of their favourite songs and originals, it was the perfect way to start the lead up to the big contest! There is nothing they love more than performing and they had the best time doing it!

Beyond Eurovision, TikTok and Liverpool are working together to encourage local artists who are just getting started. They will collaborate with Visit Liverpool to offer continuous workshops and support to small companies, neighbourhood attractions, and up-and-coming artists to ensure their success both in Liverpool and on TikTok's international stage.

You can find their content here and more about the campaign over on TikTok’s newsroom blog.
