The Power of Mentorship & Inspiring the Creator Community: A SevenSix x Ok Mentor Event

Last week, SevenSix teamed up with Ok Mentor for an unforgettable evening at Oneder. The night was filled with insightful fireside chats featuring some of the brightest minds in the industry, discussing the transformative power of mentorship.
Our panel brought together industry experts including Kat Keen from YouTube, Bita Jedo from Bumble, and Emily Trenouth from Amazon to dive into the world of mentorship in content creation. They unpacked why it's crucial and what the future might hold, offering invaluable insights to everyone in the room.

Always look for opportunities for learning and development. Embrace things that capture your interest and gain experience wherever possible.
Take pride in your achievements, take up space and carry yourself with confidence at work. Remember, you belong there and are fully capable of the job at hand.
Your network is your biggest asset. Keep attending events, learning from others and connecting with like-minded creatives.
Our second panel, moderated by our very own Head of Talent, Rianna, included incredible creators like @poseandrepeat, @wendysworld_xox and @wearmichelletravels. They shared their own experiences when it comes to content creation, giving us the run down on why support is key and where and how to seek it in the influencer world.
We ended the evening hearing from a mix of talent managers and creators, including Sydney Bautista from SHFT and our girls Sachi and Shelen. They chatted all about finding guidance through management: what the relationship looks like between talent and management, when to know you’re ready for a manager and how it can impact your journey and success as a creator.
It was the perfect chance for our community to connect, share experiences, and build relationships with like-minded creators.
